We handle all aspects of the restoration process from re-building stone foundations, timber frame restoration, to re-laying slate roofs. Ian Blackman LLC has full shop facilities and can reproduce any architectural millwork and cabinetry. Our goal is to be accurate in the restoration of a structure and institute solutions that diminish maintenance costs in the future insuring that these structures are there for future generations to enjoy.
Ian Blackman is a graduate of North Street School's furniture program and brings years of experience in the trades to the preservation of old houses and barns. From 1997-2003 he was a preservation carpenter at Canterbury Shaker Village and was involved in the restoration of the Dwelling House and the reproduction of the Garden Barn.
